UPDATE 3-12-13: Cincinnati Police say the death of 6-month-old Elliott Megrditchian was officially ruled a homicide by Hamilton County Coroner Dr Lakshmi Sammarco on Tuesday. So far, Mitchell has only been charged with felonious assault.

( Price Hill ) - Police say a six-month-old boy was thrown against the wall of his home on Mount Hope Avenue on Friday, March 8. He was taken off life support on Sunday.

The man who allegedly threw him, 20-year-old Fred Mitchell, has already been charged with felonious assault for causing the baby's injuries, but may face upgraded charges since the boy has died. Mitchell also faces a drug paraphernalia charge because a marijuana pipe was allegedly found in his sock. Mitchell has been held at the Hamilton County Justice Center since Friday.
