(Avondale) The Cincinnati police and fire departments responded to two calls at the same address Monday morning.
The first call was in response to a woman who lived on the second floor of the Blair Avenue home near Reading. Police say a dispute broke out between the woman and her son, leading to an assault around 5:30a.m Monday morning.
Two hours later, eight fire trucks arrived at the same home, responding to a housefire call. According to the fire department, flames broke out on the second floor of the home.
The woman living on the second floor of the home as well as a mother and two children on the third floor escaped safely.
The fire department has not confirmed the cause of the fire or whether the assault and fire are related.
The damage is estimated at between $40,000-$50,000.
