( Wilmington ) Police again used sonar on Wednesday morning in attempt to locate the body of the missing 32-year-old Casey Pitzer. A search using sonar on Tuesday possibly found her body, but it has yet to be recovered.
The sonar searches are taking place at a retention pond, near where she disappeared early Sunday morning. Pitzer had been at Uncle Louie's Bar when she left on foot, but was picked up by two men in a car.
The men tell police Pitzer felt ill and got out of the car on SR 73 and ran into a field. The men chased after her, but lost her in the darkness near a retention pond. That's where crews focused their search over the last three days, finally recovering her body Tuesday.
