A longtime employee of the Hamilton County Sheriffs Department sentenced to six years in prison for stealing from the property room he was in charge of.
Mickey Esposito, was a former supervisor in the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department Property Room.
He pleaded guilty to 2 counts of Aggravated Trafficking, 1 count of Trafficking in Drugs, 1 count of Theft of Drugs and 1 count of Theft.
Esposito, resold drugs and jewelry that was confiscated by Sheriffs Deputies. Esposito told a judge that he took the drugs to give to his wife for her back trouble. The judge pointed out that did not explain why he took jewelry as well.
His wife Allison Esposito pleaded guilty to 2 counts of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, 1 count of Trafficking in Drugs, 1 count of Receiving Stolen Property and 1 count of Receiving Stolen Property. She admitted to reselling the items and was given a four year sentence.
