(San Bernardino, CA)   --  The remains found in a Big Bear area cabin are being positively identified as accused cop killer Christopher Dorner.

The ID was made by San Bernardino County officials via dental records. The former LAPD officer was the focus of a manhunt after he allegedly shot three people dead, including a Riverside police officer.

During a shootout with authorities this week, Dorner allegedly shot two deputies, killing one of them.  The cabin he was holed up in burned to the ground after police launched tear gas his way.  Police say it was not their intention to burn the cabin but acknowledged that cannisters they launched into the structure had the ability to ignite a fire.
