The Dow Jones Industrial Average is closing at an all-time high today. A rally began with the opening bell this morning on Wall Street, and within minutes the Dow set a new intraday trading high. Traders are more confident about the recovering economy, and pumped more money into blue-chip stocks. 

Hewlett-Packard and Qualcomm both rose by more than 2%.  The Dow gained 126 points to 14,254. The S&P 500 added 15 points to 1540.  The Nasdaq gained 42 points to 3224.
