( Cincinnati ) ** Update 5-1-12, 9:30am ** With more than 2,400 votes, the Zoo's newest baby has been named Bogart. The Bactrian camel calf was born on April 23rd, the first calf in almost 30 years. Bogart is on display with his mother, Saarai and father Humphrey.

The Cincinnati Zoo is celebrating the upcoming Zoo Babies with the birth of a Bactrian Camel. Saarai gave birth to the calf on Monday, April 23. The last time a camel was born at the zoo was in 1983.
Soon after delivery, Saarai began nuzzling her calf and it attempted to stand at 4:00pm on Monday. Starting Thursday, visitors will be able to see the calf starting at 10:30am.
