The Reds placed three players on the All-Star Team: Joey Votto, Jay Bruce and Aroldis Chapman through the player and fan votes. Brandon Phillips and Johnny Cueto did not get in via the vote.
Votto was voted in by the fans. He will start at first base. Chapman and Bruce got in on the player vote.
It will be the third straight All-Star Game for Votto. It will be the second straight for Bruce and the first for Chapman.
Votto is hitting .350 with 14 home runs and 47 RBI's. He leads the NL in on-base percentage (.471), slugging percentage (.632), extra base hits (47), walks (60) and doubles (33).
Phillips is hitting .288 with 10 home runs and 46 BRI's. Cueto did not make it in, despite a 9-4 record and a 2.26 ERA.
