PHILADELPHIA — Catcher Devin Mesoraco will begin serving a two-game suspension tonight.

The Reds recalled Dioner Navarro from Triple-A Louisville and optioned Logan Ondrusek to Louisville to open a roster spot.

Ondrusek gave up a pair of runs yesterday. He’s allowed runs in three of four outings, raising his ERA to 3.50. Barring an injury to a pitcher, Ondrusek has to spend 10 days in the minors.

Mesoraco was originally suspended three games for making contact with umpire Chad Fairchild during an 11-5 loss on July 30. He appealed.
