( Cincinnati ) The Washington Nationals beat the Reds 7 to 6 in 11 innings on Saturday afternoon at Great American Ballpark. The Nats took a 5 to 1 lead into the eighth, but the Reds tied it up in the ninth, with Jory Votto scoring on a wild pitch.
J.J. Hoover took the mound in the 11th and gave up a pair of solo home runs. The Reds scored in the bottom of the 11th to make it 7 to 6, but Jay Bruce struck out with a runner on second to end the game.
