The fountains and waterfalls at the new Smale Riverfront Park were turned on today, for testing.

And what it looks like, after the sun has set: 

Phase I of the newest park will be opened with a celebration, Friday, May 18th, at 6:15pm.  There will be a ceremony on the Schmidlapp Event Lawn, followed by live music, and a Rozzi fireworks show at 10. 

Phase I includes the Event Lawn, the Walnut Street Fountains and Steps, the Black Brigade Monument, Main Street Fountain, a Labyrinth, a bike center, and the Moerlein Lager House.
