This weekend, the Cincinnati Black Brigade Monument is dedicated, 150 years after the Black Brigade was formed. Their fame is growing, but still lesser known in the pages of history. Here's a primer for you:

And tonight, the 3rd annual Cincinnati Film Festival begins with another piece of Cincinnati history;
Cincinnati Beer Story, the story of beer brewing in the Queen City. It's narrated by Gary Burbank, and is a must-see for anyone interested in Cincinnati history, beer, Gary Burbank, and the philosophy of buying local.
The Cincinnati Film Festival runs through Friday, Sept., 14. Cincinnati Beer Story screens again, Tuesday, Sept. 11, at the Esquire Theater, in Clifton.
