You've probably already seen the photos and video of the new AirCare helicopter.

And now you get the rest... of the story.

The new chopper was unveiled today, as University Hospital created a new, quasi-permanent display recognizing its history, in the main lobby.  For some photos, Click Here.

Before it was University Hospital, it was the Commerical Hospital and Lunatic Asylum, opened in 1823.   As Dr. Brian Gibler, president and CEO of UC
Health University Hospital, said "When we participate in care here, we are participating in care that's now 190 years old."

I say "quasi-permanent" because they're going to rotate things in and out of the display cases, which are showing historical medical artifacts, like the Iron Man suit for "maggot therapy".  Go see!  It's cool!
