Bill Rinehart is Senior Correspondent for 700WLW News. Though despite his best efforts, no-one else will refer to him by that title.
He came to the Big One in August, 2004. His beat covers City Hall, Hamilton County Commissioners, breaking news, and anything else that comes along.
In his private life, he likes books, movies, television shows, and music. He is also a big fan of certain foods, and beverages. His hobbies include doing things, not doing other things, and blogging.
This blog takes an unflinching look, behind the scenes, in the newsroom. But mostly, it's just an excuse for you to not do any real work.
At the Cincinnati Zoo this weekend, they're celebrating the 1 year anniversary of the birth of a Maasai giraffe. There will be cake for Lulu, and her parents, and treats for humans, starting at 10:30, Friday morning.
Here's video of Lulu, on the morning of her first venture outside, shortly after she was born. There's also an interview with Thane Maynard, of the Cincinnati Zoo, as mentioned on the air with Jim Scott this morning.

So, when I was at the Cincinnati Film Festival last month, I was excited to come across a scale replica of the TARDIS, one of the icons of the long running British sci-fi programme. From there, I learned it will be at a convention this weekend in Springdale: Pandoracon is a celebration of "dorkdom", as the director, Aloysius Fox calls it.
Fox sat down for an interview with me on Thursday, to talk about Pandoracon, sci-fi, nerds, steampunk and all things geek. Listen to 700WLW newscasts, Saturday morning, for excerpts from that interview.
ICYMI: Thursday, fire departments from around the Tri-State gathered at the Firefighters Memorial, on Central Avenue, to remember the sacrifices of fallen comrades.
