Yesterday's off day was spent fishing in Scottsdale Arizona.   I did manage to land a few small ones and there were some other interesting things around the lake.

You should have seen the one that got away

This is a first, my buddy Studley caught a fresh water clam on artificial
bait.  As you can see, it wasn't hooked, it just clamped down on the jig
head

These are  not ducks but rather American Coots.  Coots are described
as a plump, chicken like bird with a rounded head and sloping bill. Ducks
don't eat oranges but these things do.

Florida isn't the only place that has orange trees

There is a 100% chance of rain today in the Phoenix area and it doesn't get much better tonight when the Reds and Cubs battle it out.  If they do play, it'll be Tony Cingrani pitching against Nick Struck.  Air time is 8:35 on 700 WLW
