The Butler County Republican party is calling for his resignation following his arrest on OVI and weapons charges. Police say they found him passed out at a McDonald's drive-thru with a loaded gun on the seat of his truck. He had just attended the party's Lincoln Day dinner.
Retherford, meanwhile, is taking some time off from his job at the Statehouse. He's issued a statement asking for space and privacy.
