Lower-Income Neighbors To Get Free Laundry Service

Lower-income neighbors sometimes have to choose between doing laundry and running other appliances in their homes, but non-profit Current of Ohio has a solution. Current’s Laundry Project brings renewed hope to people by providing the funds and laundry items necessary to wash and dry clothes and linens.

"Ultimately our goal through meeting that need of clean laundry is to just affirm the dignity of the families we work with to provide hope," said Corey Easterday, Director of Current of Ohio, "we have activities for kids...we just try to turn the laundromat into a caring space and basically we provide laundry supplies we bring all necessary quarters and provide refreshments."

Easterday said they are holding an event Saturday June 17th at City Limits Laundry & Tan on 50 W. Nixon Street in Clifton.
