Madeira Farmers’ Market will host its 4th Annual Kids Taste-A-Thon, July 20th on Dawson Avenue, by the fountain, in the heart of historic downtown Madeira. Kids take a tasty trip through the market, sampling items from participating vendors as they go! For each vendor sampled, the child will receive a sticker on their sampling sheet. Once a child has sampled the required number of items for their age range, they are invited to come back to the registration booth to vote on their favorite foods and receive a market dollar to spend. All participants begin with a sampling sheet at the Market Information Booth. Tasters must be under 18 years old. Market manager, Melissa Bishop reports: “Kids of all ages are always looking for something fun to do in the summer, and our Taste-A-Thon is always a huge hit! We love making it fun to try tasting new things, produce that's grown by our local farmers and food that's prepared by our local vendors!" Reluctant participants will still have plenty to do at the market: stop by Creativities booth for a craft activity, listen to live music, make a chalk drawing, or play in the water by the fountain!
