Trial Delayed For Woman Charged in Fatal Florence Crash

New evidence offered by the prosecution is the reason for a delay in the start of a trial for a woman accused of texting while driving and causing a deadly crash in Florence back in March of 2015.

A Boone County Court Judge put the trial on hold for 24-year-old Jessica Hood who is facing manslaughter and assault charges for the deaths of 49-year-old grandfather Charles Napier and his one-year-old twin grandchildren Sean and Samantha. The trial will now begin in December so the defense has time to review the new evidence.
