(700 WLW)- SWAT and police officers were in Oakley Monday Night, after a father called authorities about his son having thoughts of suicide. Before officers arrived, the gentleman barricaded himself inside an apartment complex in the 2700 block of Willard. After arriving, officers asked the man to come out. He refused and fired numerous shots in the direction of officers. However once negotiators arrived, they were able to talk the gentleman out. He was taken to a nearby hospital and likely will be arrested for inducing panic and also could face felonious assault charges for shots fired in the direction of officers. None of the officers were hurt.
