Kentucky Man Dies After Crash In Verona, KY

(700 WLW)- Monday evening at around 6 o'clock, a single vehicle traffic collision near 14553 Walton Verona Road in Verona, Kentucky (Boone County) claimed the life of the driver.

A 1997 Plymouth Voyager, operated by Carl Domaschko, 66, of Verona, Kentucky, was traveling southbound in his driveway of 14553 Walton Verona Road towards Walton Verona Road. Domaschko is believed to have experienced a medical issue causing him to suddenly exit his driveway, travel through a grass field, and eventually onto Walton Verona Road. Domaschko then continued to travel across Walton Verona Road and struck an earth embankment near 14520 Walton Verona Road.

Domaschko was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Florence by Walton EMS where he was pronounced deceased. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the collision. Domaschko was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. Walton Verona Road remained closed for approximately two hours however reopened at approximately 8:00 p.m. Next of kin have been notified.
