Amazon Looks to Move Old Cemetery Near Airport

(Cincinnati, Oh.)--Amazon is asking for permission to move graves near the airport to clear the way for its new 1 and a half billion dollar cargo hub at the Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky International Airport.

A private cemetery must be relocated as part of the project and the company says it has permission from relatives of the people buried there to do so. A hearing on Amazons request is set for tomorrow before the Boone County fiscal court.

The E-Commerce giant recently purchased over 200 acres of land near the airport to construct a new air cargo hub. Amazon has committed to invest $1.49 billion and bring nearly 3,000 new jobs to the Tri-State when the air cargo hub is completed.
