( Madisonville ) - There have been multiple issues with broken water mains shutting down streets in Madisonville this past summer, and those issues are apparently persisting into the fall.
Police are warning drivers that sections of Erie Ave and Brotherton Rd in the Oakley/Madisonville are are closed as the result of a water main break and a sinkhole that formed over the weekend.
Adding to the issues was a car that drove into the hole on Erie just after midnight Sunday morning. That driver had to be extricated.
Police are warning that the closures may be in effect for most of the day on Monday.
