Clermont County Becomes 2nd Amendment Sanctuary

( Clermont County, OH ) - Similar resolutions have passed in multiple Northern Kentucky Counties in recent weeks, now Clermont County has followed suit. The County Commission voted Monday morning to become a Second Amendment Sanctuary.

The largely symbolic vote simply states that County leaders are opposed to any restrictions on the rights of gun owners.

The measure passed unanimously to the applause of gun rights activists in attendance. Commission President David Painter stating, “We stand as a Second Amendment Sanctuary County.”

The growing trend in out region is in response to a number pushes at the state and federal level for increased gun safety laws.
