New Duke Energy pipeline for central Hamilton County on hold.

Plans for a new gas pipeline running thru central Hamilton County are now on hold.

The group battling Duke Energy over the plan has won a reprieve from the state of Ohio. The Power Siting Board which must approve the route for the pipeline has been told by a judge to take more time to consider the environmental impact on neighborhoods like Blue Ash, Evendale, Reading and Golf Manor. Neighbors have formed a group called NOPE (Neighbors Opposing Pipeline Expansion) to fight the plans.

Duke Energy says it is confident that the approval for the project will survive this new look at the evidence. They hope to start work on the Central Corridor pipeline late this year and wrap up installation by the spring of 2020.

The pipeline proposed route is marked in blue on the map below.
