The Lenten season in Cincinnati means the start of Friday night fish frys. Churches all across Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky will be serving fish tonight and every Friday night throughout lent. The tradition is so strong in Cincinnati that the Queen City was home to the McDonalds Filet of Fish sandwich. The owner of the first McDonalds franchise in this area put the fish sandwich on the menu after he noticed that sales slumped during lent at his location in Monfort Heights.
