A judge has dismissed a complaint by The Cincinnati Federation of Teachers, the union representing Cincinnati Public Schools teachers, which sought to delay in-person instruction at C.P.S.
Common Pleas Judge Lisa Allen ruled Monday evening that there is no cause for delay after hearing arguments from lawyers representing both the school and teachers union.
The suit was brought by C.F.T due to health concerns regarding COVID-19.
On Tuesday, C.P.S. students Preschool to 3rd grade will return to the classroom two days a week under the hybrid-learning plan.
Group A will have in-person instruction Tuesday and Wednesdays, while Group B will go into the classroom Thursdays and Fridays.
All students are remote on Mondays.
Grade 4-6 and 9-12 will start following the same model the week of February 15.
The week of March 1, 7th and 8th graders will begin blended learning.
Specialized classrooms start up again this week with in-person instruction.
Those students will be remote Monday and in the classroom Tuesday-Friday.
