Ex-Loveland Police Officer Indicted on Rape, Sexual Battery Charges

Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters Monday announcing an indictment against former Loveland Police officer Anthony Pecord.

Pecord, 48, faces eight counts of Rape and eight counts of Sexual Battery after being accused of raping a man who was unconscious and unable to give consent due to him being intoxicated.

Once this behavior was reported, the City of Loveland and the Loveland Police Department cooperated fully with the investigation.

“We take all cases of sexual assault seriously. But when acts like this are committed by someone in a position of power and public trust, it is especially sickening" said Deters.

Pecord, currently being held in the Hamilton County Justice Center on $1 million bond, could face up 88 years in prison if found guilty on all counts.
